Officers are appealing for information following a collision in Westminster.

Police were called at approximately 18:40hrs on Saturday 27 July to Marylebone Road, NW1 – opposite Madam Tussard’s – following reports of a motorcycle in collision with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a 50-year-old man, was taken to a central London hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and in particular a licensed black cab driver who was close to the collision to contact them.

The motorcyclist stopped at the scene.

Enquiries continue. No arrests.
